BSc, MS, and MPhil in Statistics, as well as a Ph.D. in Biostatistics with a specialization in infectious disease modeling and causal inference. He is an expert in observational studies and clinical trials in public health, statistical computing in high-performance computing setup, and research database architecture. Dr. Sharker has over 20 years of experience supporting public health research in Bangladesh and the U.S. He has contributed to study design, planning, and statistical analysis in observational and experimental studies related to public health and clinical trials. His primary research interests include survival data, network data, time-series data, functional data, stochastic models, linear and multilevel models, principal component analysis, unsupervised statistical learning, and high-performance computing.
Dr. Sharker has held positions as a Statistical manager in Pharmaceutical Industries in the USA, a Faculty Biostatistician at Chaildren’s National Hospital in Washington DC, Visiting Associate (Mathematical Statistician) at the Food and Drug Administration, a Postdoctoral Associate at the Yale School of Public Health, and an Assistant Scientist at the International Center for Diarrheal Disease Research, Bangladesh.
